Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the EachSwipe app and website. They are short because the service is simple: we make videos that explain books, and you watch them.

1. The service

EachSwipe makes short videos that explain ideas, from any subject, book or skill you ask about, and shows them to you in a feed. You tell it what you want to learn; it builds a plan and keeps making videos for it. You can also ask for particular topics or books, and leave notes for the people in your group. Videos are generated with the help of artificial intelligence and reviewed by automated checks. They explain and paraphrase ideas; they do not reproduce the text of any book or other work.

2. Access and the waitlist

EachSwipe is invite-only. Signing in on this website or in the app places you on a waitlist; an administrator decides who is admitted. We may decline or delay access, or remove it later, at our discretion and without owing an explanation, though we will tell you when we do. Waitlist entries that are not approved are deleted after twelve months.

3. Who may use it

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account yourself. A child younger than that may use EachSwipe only through an account created and supervised by a parent or guardian who is a member of the same group and accepts these terms on the child's behalf. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms.

4. Your account

You sign in with a Google or Apple account and are responsible for keeping that account secure. Tell us at hello@eachswipe.com if you believe someone else has used yours. You may delete your account at any time from the app's Settings, or by following the steps at eachswipe.com/delete-account.

5. What you may not do

• Copy, redistribute or sell the videos, or present them as your own.
• Use automated tools to download content or to load the service.
• Post notes that are abusive, unlawful, or that expose someone's private information.
• Attempt to bypass access controls, or to reverse-engineer the app or its API.
• Use the service to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights.

6. Content and ownership

The videos, illustrations, narration, software and design of EachSwipe belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to watch and use them within the app for as long as you have access. Book titles and authors' names are used to identify the works being explained; EachSwipe is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any author or publisher.

Notes you write remain yours. You give us a licence to store and show them to the members of your group, which is what they are for. If you believe content on EachSwipe infringes your rights, write to us with enough detail to identify it and we will look into it promptly.

7. Accuracy

We work hard to make the videos accurate, but they are explanations produced with the help of AI and may contain errors or omissions. They are for learning and general interest, not professional, medical, legal or financial advice. Where a video explains a book, read the book for the full argument.

8. Changes and availability

EachSwipe is a young service. Features will change, and we may suspend or stop the service, in whole or in part, at any time. We will give reasonable notice where we can. We are not liable for any unavailability.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the same extent, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free service is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using EachSwipe and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections 6, 9 and 11 survive termination.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts of India, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be taken away.
